The night that Aidan came home, Friday, was the night of a rare but powerful mircoburst storm.  It appeared suddenly late that night with winds roaring outside our windows at 70 mph, hail and rain pelting down, and unbelievable lightning. We lost power and cell phone service for 24 hours.  This is the view we woke up to the next morning...a neighbor's tree had toppled over near Norb's car.  Luckily, it was just the branches that fell on the car and no damage was done.
Even if our driveway was clear, another tree on our street had fallen, blocking our way out.  It took until Sunday morning for a tree service to cut up the tree.  Fortunately for us, neither rare storm nor lack of electricity could keep Morai away from her new grandson.  Proud Morai sits holding Baby Aidan Saturday afternoon (wearing  just a diaper and Tshirt in the 100-degree heat).  Regardless, Aidan's homecoming was memorable!
