Lessons learned at the beach

We had a wonderful time at the Outer Banks last week! We went to the beach almost every day, and visited our family-friendly pool a few times in-between. Here is a glimpse into the lessons Colin learned at the beach this year.

Rule #1: Learn to carry your own weight.

Rule #2: Bring snacks.

Rule #3: Share with your friends.

Rule #4: Make time to collect seashells.

Rule #5: Swimming is not just for the ocean only.

Rule #6: Sand does not taste yummy.

Rule #7: In the case you do eat sand, your hand may help you wipe it off your tongue (unless, of course, said hand is also sandy).

Rule #8: Always bring a shovel to the beach. There is a limitless supply of sand to dig.
