Easter Fun!

We prepared for Easter on Friday night by dyeing eggs together. (This is just before the yellow dye spilled on our carpet!) :~

Either Colin is showing off the blue egg...or preparing to chuck it across the room.

On Saturday morning we went to a local park for an Easter egg hunt. Colin found a shovel in the sand volleyball court and was thrilled! Good thing too, because we had to wait for 45 minutes before the (1-minute) hunt began! Notice the sectioned-off area behind him with hundreds of eggs waiting to be picked up by toddlers.

Here Colin is clapping along, ready for the hunt to begin.

Ready, set...total mayhem!

"Here's one Colin. I grabbed it for you just before another little kid got it."

"EGGS!!!"

Checking out the loot.

"Open Mommy."

Patiently waiting for the candy from one of his eggs.

What a successful Easter egg hunt!

On Easter Sunday we were invited to a friend's home for an Easter egg hunt. Here are all the children gathered together pre-hunt. Colin is trying to figure out whether that Easter bunny is the real thing or not.

Here's one way to carry an Easter basket!

After the first egg hunt the day before, Colin had quickly become a real pro!

Lolo assisting Colin through part of the hunt. Some of these eggs were so well-hidden that Lolo had to dig through bushes to find a few eggs for Colin!

Colin refused for the egg hunt to end. When we told him it was over, he said, "More eggs" for several minutes before reluctantly giving in. It also helped that the hosts of this hunt had created an Easter basket for him (and all the other children) to take home. Thank you Tita Edith and Tito Elmer!

Happy Easter everyone!
